Certainty doesn't come from one perspective. It comes from all of them.

Powered land deals fall apart in the gap between what can be delivered and what a developer assumes. GridMatch was built to close that gap.

GridMatch was founded by Ryan Stillwell, a power origination and infrastructure development leader who has worked every side of the powered land equation — inside a major utility, across competitive power markets, and on the front lines of data center growth.

Most professionals and firms in this space specialize in one thing: utility operations, site selection, real estate, interconnection engineering, or economic development. Ryan has positioned GridMatch to operate across all five. That combination is exactly what turns a speculative site into an executable opportunity — and it's the foundation GridMatch is built on.

Why GridMatch

Over the last decade, Ryan has sat at nearly every table in the development process.

At American Electric Power (AEP), he managed a national account portfolio representing more than $1.7B in annual revenue and led large-load service strategy — learning firsthand how utilities actually make decisions, screen projects, and prioritize capacity. As Director of Utilities & Partnerships at a leading data center infrastructure company, he advanced a pipeline targeting 2GW of capacity across ERCOT, SPP, MISO, PJM, and the Southeast, originating utility partnerships and aligning power availability with deployment timelines for hyperscale and AI infrastructure.

The pattern he saw again and again: the biggest constraint in development isn't capital, land, or demand — it's certainty. Sites get marketed without it. Deals stall because of it. Capital sits on the sidelines waiting for it.

GridMatch exists to create that certainty — and to give landowners, developers, economic developers, and utilities a common language to move faster, together.

Core Expertise

Utility Strategy & Relationships

IOUs, electric cooperatives, and G&Ts. Large-load customer engagement, utility economic development programs, and the regulatory and obligation-to-serve realities that determine what's actually possible.

Interconnection & Grid Infrastructure

Transmission and distribution assessment, queue and tariff strategy, upgrade identification, and realistic power-delivery timelines — the difference between "500 MW or so" and "500 MW confirmed, here's the path."

Powered Land Development

Site qualification and scoring, infrastructure due diligence, feasibility, and market positioning that turns raw acreage into a credible, power-ready opportunity.

Power origination and utility strategy that helps developers, landowners, and infrastructure investors secure real grid capacity — and transform sites into scalable powered land opportunities.

Whether you're trying to qualify a single site or build a pipeline, the goal is the same: replace uncertainty with a clear, defensible path to power.
